How to Have Perfect PostureI've always had good posture, but I discovered one thing that not only helps with posture but also adds confidence. Here's the idea: Picture a string going from the top of your head to the ceiling (or beyond if you can picture that). Make the string a little stretchy, and mentally pull it up to "lift" your body upwards. This way, you can suspend your body from the 'string', creating lift in the head, a stretched and uplifted neck, a long spine, lifted chest and perfect posture. Use this technique when working your hip downs, and you can perfect that marionette-like movement quickly and easily. Some parts of dance are mind over body, so practice using your mind to create the posture you've always dreamed of. ___________________________________________________________________________________________
